However, in 2018, companies expect elements of “place” to be intertwined with live video. 80 percent of marketers want to create more video content in the next year. This is because applications such as Facebook Video have an average of 135 percent more reach than images. With the increase in popularity of Facebook live videos, users are now spending three times more time watching live videos and ten times more time commenting on live videos than those that are no longer live. These consumers say that they would rather watch a company’s marketing video rather than read a blog, so therefore it is important that we incorporate the desires of our consumers into our marketing mix.

What makes them tick and are they doing what they promise? This information can be found through word-of-mouth marketing as this method provides comfort and transparency. People are more likely to trust someone they know that is not associated with a company as it gives them an unbiased opinion about a brand.
